Boxing Champ Game Review

Boxing Champ is an online RPG game available to play online. Like the title suggests, this is a game about the brutal sport of boxing.

You will start off as an amateur boxer who will need to get yourself a trainer before you can venture off and become the next boxing champion of the world. When you begin the game, you can only choose one trainer but when you progress and make more money, you can have access to more experienced trainers as you go.

Before you can go off and fight in your first match, you first have to train on the punching bag. Training helps you boost your stats in both offense and defense so it will pay off later on when you eventually decide to go out and fight.

Training mode is pretty easy to follow. There are three “Punch” buttons highlighted over punching game. When one button is highlighted orange, you then have act quickly and click that specific button with your computer mouse. Make sure you don’t miss too many of the highlighted buttons or else you will fail your training and none of your stats will be boosted.

It’s almost essential that you train for as much as possible before you accept your first fight. I prematurely fought with only one training session and I lost. Although the game is quite difficult to master there’s only one round and once time runs out you automatically lose the fight. That’s why it pays to train, as you can then increase your punching power. As with every RPG game, it pays to level up first before you fight.

The A.I. in the game is pretty smart, unlike in most other games. Much like in a RPG game, you will have to know when to attack and when to block and defend. There are only two buttons presented in front of you during the fight: punch and block. You will have to observe your opponent’s hands as to when to punch or block.

Sometimes your opponent will leave his whole head or body open so then you will know when to strike. It’s a bit hard to tell when to block as I got punched multiple times. It pays not to punch too many times and to conserve energy as you punching power increases when you just stand there and block. Fights are much like a turn-based RPG game as you will need to think and strategize if you want to come out on top.

Boxing Champ is a surprisingly deep and intuitive RPG game. The gameplay will keep you occupied for quite a while and the training system allows you to improve on your stats and become stronger as you progress through the game.

Boxing Champ may be a small online RPG game, but that does not mean it can still pack a powerful punch!

Highly recommended, whether you are a fan of the sport or not.
